Ivana’s Story
Ivana was confiscated by the NSPCA after being found close to death at a breeding farm for lion bones in South Africa. She was immediately put into the care of veterinarian, Dr Peter Caldwell. With the support from Born Free, the courageous cub was relocated to Panthera Africa after five months once her condition had improved. Ivana was living in a temporary enclosure for her recovery. She still walks with difficulty as a result of her malnutrition and lack of care, but is improving daily with the care and love she deserve. Ivana is currently living in the Rescue Section that is not open to the public.
