Currently, all our veterinary check-ups and procedures take place in this small storeroom with poor lighting. It is very cramped and our veterinarian is extremely generous to work under these conditions. However, the storeroom is not ideal for bigger procedures and for these we have to either drive or fly our animals up to Old Chapel Veterinary Clinic in Pretoria where there is access to a proper operation room and the necessary equipment. It is stressful for the animals to travel such a far distance (17 hours’ drive) under normal circumstances, let alone when they are sick. Added to that is the cost to transport the animals to Pretoria. In order to give our animals the best care and to save costs in the long run, we have realised that the best way forward is to build our own veterinary clinic.
With the generous funding from Olsen Animal Trust, Marchig Animal Welfare Trust, Foundation Marchig and Help Animals International, we are able to start the building. Now we need your help to raise another $40,000 (R550,000, €33,000, £28,000) to complete the building. Buy a building block for $7.50 (R100, €6, £5) per block. You can buy as many blocks as you like. Simply select the number of blocks below and make your contribution. Our current goal is 5,500 blocks as we are hopeful that we will get some more sponsorships for the building materials. A roaring thank you from the pride for helping us achieve our goal.
Buy 10 or more building blocks and have your name added to the
